The Bureau of Meteorology has confirmed a tornado occurred at Pittsworth, southwest of Toowoomba, about 10.40am Monday.
A man filmed the wild weather from inside his vehicle.
"A confirmed tornado has briefly touched down near Pittsworth QLD at 10.40am this morning captured by HSC contributor Colin G. There are no reports of damage or injuries at this time," the group wrote.
A BoM spokesperson said a severe thunderstorm warning had been current in the area since 8.20am.
"At this stage, there have been no reports of injuries or property damage," they said.
"The Bureau continues to monitor a dynamic day of severe weather in the eastern and southeast parts of Queensland.
"Tornadoes do occur in Australia especially with severe thunderstorms, mostly supercells."
