There were 580 head yarded in Murgon last week with all descriptions selling to fully firm rates.
Cattle were consigned from Mundubbera, Gayndah, Mt Perry, Brisbane Valley, Kingaroy, Kilkivan and locally.
Heavy bulls sold to 386c/kg and $3139. Bullocks topped at 419c for $2500. Heavy cows over 500kg sold to 383c and $2276. Cows 400 - 500kg sold to 370c averaging 349c. Cows under 400kg topped at 287c for an average of 275c. Export heifers sold to 383c and $2140.
A line of Charbray steers from Mt Perry sold for 487c to return $2557 to average $2253. Local Limousin steers weighing 454kg sold for 518c and $2355. Charolais cross steers from Goomeri sold for $1892 at 606c. Angus cross steers 320kg from Tansey sold for $1908 at 598c. Angus cross weaner steers sold to 666c for $1632. Charolais cross weaner steers from Goomeri sold for $1602 at 642c.
A line of Droughtmaster heifers from Tansey sold for a top of $1823 at 500c. Charolais cross heifers 345kg from Proston sold for $1863 at 540c. Brangus heifers weighing 341kg sold to 441c and $1507. Gelvieh heifers 330kg sold to 520c for $1716. Angus cross weaner heifers sold to 572c and $1520. Limousin cross weaner heifers sold for 560c and $133. Brangus weaner heifers sold for $1242 at 562c.
There were a small number of cows and calves yarded and they sold for $2250.
