Quality store cattle were in strong demand from buyers at Monto Cattle & Country's fortnightly fat and store sale of 615 head.

A new saleyard record of 747c/kg for young steers was recorded along with 727c/kg for Santa cross Angus weaner steers on account of Keith and Rachel Semple, which sold to $1820.

The Semple's also sold Santa weaner steers for $2028 or 690c/kg.

Glenda Dathler's light Angus steers sold for 747c/kg or $1090.

The Pownall Family, Stockwell, Builyan, sold 385kg Red Brahman steers for 471c/kg or $1816.

Droughtmaster steers from Biloela weighing 332kg sold for 535c/kg or $1780.

Naroonie Pastoral Co sold Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1950 or 586c/kg and 270kg steers for 602c/kg.

Droughtmaster weaner steers on account of Judd and Sonya Clarke returned $1420 or 650c/kg.

Hiscock & Son's Charbray weaner steers returned $1210 or 627c/kg.

P & M Lobegeier's 370kg Charbray heifers sold for 501c/kg or $1855.

N & J Keitley's run of Droughtmaster No. 0 heifers sold from 456 to 473c/kg to top at $1445.

R & K Dent's Angus heifers averaged 316kg to sell for $1650 or 522c/kg.

K & R Semple's 220kg Santa Angus weaner heifers sold for $1346 or 611c/kg.

J & S Clarke's Droughtmaster weaner heifers sold for 601c/kg or $1270.

Forsyth Family, Monto, sold Angus weaner heifers for 624c/kg or $1115.

Naroonie Pastoral Co's 278kg Droughtmaster heifers sold for 540c/kg or $1505 and 613c/kg or $1380.
