RACQ CapRescue are giving producers the opportunity to donate to an essential rural service through their revamped ear tag initiative.
Capricorn Helicopter Rescue (CHRS) ran a pop-up stall at the Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale at CQLX last week, with representative Kim Moss providing producers with RACQ stamped ear tags to put on their cattle when they return home.
"Basically, what we're doing here today is we have ear tags for people to take away and pop on their beast," Ms Moss said.
"And then when it's sold, that money will come to us."

Participating producers are then responsible for donating the profit of their sale to CapRescue.
Despite being around for a few years already, Ms Moss said that she was trying to increase the popularity of the program amongst cattle owners, and she had already received a lot of interest from vendors and buyers at Brahman Week.
"We're just trying to get the information out," she said
"I guess it's a bit of a soft launch, so we came to Brahman Week to get it started."
Ms Moss also said that she plans to attend more sales in the future to attract even more producers.
Last week a CapRescue tagged beast sold through Teys Biloela for $1200, the entirety of which was donated to the worthy cause.
CHRS also runs the 300 Rescue program. For an annual donation of $1000, companies have access to advertising through CHRS and invitations to various CHRS charity functions.
