They may seem at odds, but big bids and value buying were the trends of the Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale in 2021.
Of the 465 grey bulls that sold to gross $6.265 million, seven of them ranged in price from $70,000 to the sale-topping $150,000.
Meanwhile, a large spread of buyers chased quality grey Brahman genetics from a variety of vendors in the $55,000 to $65,000 price bracket.
Contributing to the $5.476 million gross for 346 red bulls sold across Tuesday and Wednesday, were the three bulls that hit $100,000 price tags, as well as four others that sold from $65,000 and up.
The offering of red sire prospects across days two and three also saw eight bulls sell for bids ranging from $55,000 to $60,000.
