The final day of the annual Brahman Week Sale at the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange kicked off on Wednesday, with studs and commercial buyers on the look out for top quality red Brahman bloodlines.
In total, 202 grey bulls were offered and sold on day two, to average $13,460 and gross $2.719m. Tuesday afternoon also saw all 99 red Brahmans offered sell for an average of $20,455 and gross of $2.025m.
It was John Kirk, Carinya stud, Gayndah, who sold the $150,000 top seller Carinya Sugarcrata (IVF) (H) on Tuesday to buyers Steph Nichol, Rosetta Grazing, Collinsville, Darren Kent, Ooline Brahmans, Goovigen, and Lawson Camm, Cambil Brahmans, Proserpine.
