Day two of Rockhampton Brahman Week has kicked off, following a strong start on Monday.
The first day saw 266 bulls offered, 260 sold for a clearance rate of 97 per cent, to achieve an average of $13,446 and a gross of $3.496 million.
It was the Ahern family of Ahern Brahmans, Gayndah, that took top honours on Monday, selling Ahern Brock 915/0 (IVF) (H) for the $140,000 bid to the Brownson family, Burdekin Brahmans, Charters Towers.
On day two, there are 225 nominated grey Brahman bulls left in the catalogue to sell, before the reds go under the hammer later today and tomorrow.
