A high quality catalogue of Brangus bulls and females is on offer at the 45th annual Australian Brangus Cattle Association (ABCA) sponsored Rockhampton Brangus Sale on October 11 and 12.
Forty six studs from Queensland and three from NSW are participating this year, offering more than 200 bulls (189 registered bulls and 28 herd bulls) and 38 registered females, along with two semen packages.
For the second year, all registered bulls have been DNA tested with the Brangus Bundle for coat colour, poll, sire verification and tenderness.
Sale committee chairman and ABCA president Brad Saunders said this year's line-up was of exceptional quality.
It's a premier event for many people in the Brangus breed, with many studs keeping their best bulls and females to sell at Rockhampton.
"We have a very strong and impressive draft of bulls for the 45th annual Brangus society sale," Mr Saunders said.
Mr Saunders said it had been a big year for the breed, with Brangus breeders rewarded with the strong cattle market, and good growth with memberships and cattle registrations through the Brangus society.

The society is offering half-price memberships for junior, commercial and full members at this year's sale.
"The Brangus is known for its maternal traits, MSA grading and meat quality, and the breed has been at the forefront of the record prices received for commercial cattle over the last 12 months."
In the 2020 sale, buyers from three states pushed prices to $65,000 for registered bulls and $12,000 for registered heifers, with a sale gross of $1.473 million and a clearance rate of 94 per cent.
