The property has been held in the Maher family for the previous 45 years and Pam and John Maher have decided to call time on their successful farming enterprise and retire to Goondiwindi.
The Kingswood Aggregation is situated in the border rivers region of Queensland, approximately 60 kilometres west of Goondiwindi and it borders the town of Bungunya which has Grain Corp handling facilities.
The country consists of 3033 hectares comprising two non-contiguous properties.
Kingswood is 1733ha hectares with 1439 hectares developed to dryland cropping and Eastwood is 1300ha, with 1199ha developed to dryland farming.
The soils comprise of alluvial black, brown self-mulching clays and clay loams with small areas of red brown loams, which are suitable for long term farming.
Kingswood Aggregation has proven the capacity to grow a ride range of dryland crops including barley, wheat, linseed, chickpeas, mung beans and faba beans.
The property is also home to a full commercial grading plant complete with pre-cleaner, roller mill, corn cutter and weigh bridge on site.
Capacity varies dependent on seed stock but up to 25 tons and hour.
There is an array of quality infrastructure including 3150 tonnes of silo grain storage and machinery sheds.
Structural improvements include two well-appointed four bedroom homes and portable workers accommodation onsite.
