NSM cows and calves averaged $3981/hd. Hereford/Angus cows from Wandoan aged two to 11 years weighing an average of 531kg liveweight returned $3120/hd. The cows will travel to Guyra, NSW.
PTIC cows sold from $1210 to $3500 to average $2274/hd.
A line of 18 Brangus cows from Upper Yarraman aged five to nine years weighing 571kg returned $2700/hd and will travel to Silverdale.
Heifers weighing between 200-280kg averaged 575c. A line of 30 Angus heifers from Goondiwindi aged nine to 12 months weighing 250kg returned 697c and will travel to Toobeah.
Heifers weighing between 280-330kg averaged 571c. A line of 84 Droughtmaster backgrounder heifers from Talwood aged 12 to 16 months weighing 284kg returned 564c and will travel to Pallamallawa, NSW.
Steers weighing between 200-280kg averaged 614c. A line of 30 Angus steers from Chinchilla aged eight to 12 months and weighing 270kg returned 751c and will travel to Bathurst, NSW.
Steers weighing between 280-330kg averaged 655c. A line of 92 Angus steers from St George aged 11 to 14 months returned 657c. The steers weigh 318kg and will travel to Lavington, NSW.
SHEEP
Queensland offered 3078 head of sheep last week, 3197 fewer than the previous week.
Crossbred lambs sold from 413c to 800c to average 511c with a 98 per cent clearance. A line of 442 Merino/White Suffolk wether lambs of Apr/Jun '21 drop from Talwood weighing 32.5kg returned 508c or $165/hd and will travel to Orange, NSW.
Shedding breed lambs saw a $147 rise in the weekly average to total $448/hd.
A line of Mar/Apr '21 drop White Dorper wether lambs from Charleville weighing 34kg returned $177/hd. They will travel to Kogan.
