The fifth annual Bimbadeen Brangus on-property sale on Tuesday saw bulls sell to a top of $22,000 and average $9212.
Forty-seven bulls went to auction and were sold at the Arthur's Knob complex near Eidsvold.
Six heifers topped at $6000 and averaged $4833, seven commercial heifers in lots of 10 topped at $1850 and averaged $1450, and a semen package sold to $70.
Top-priced bull Bimbadeen Renouf 185 was bought by Gary Taylor, Ginoondan Brangus, Gayndah, for $22,000.
The two-year-old son of Palmal Alfie out of Bimbadeen Q K61 was the first offering of the day, weighing in at 884kg.
His P8, rib, eye-muscle area, and intramuscular fat scans registered 11mm, 8mm, 135 sq cm, and 4.2pc respectively.
Renouf had a scrotal circumference of 41cm, semen motility of 60 per cent and morphology of 75pc.
Second-top priced bull Bimbadeen Rango R227 was bought by Peter Dingle, Redline Brangus, Eidsvold, for $20,000.
Bulk buyer of the day was Zlotkowski & Co, Munbooree Station, Mundubbera, who took home 10 bulls at an average of $8800.
Top-priced heifer Bimbadeen Raya R175 was purchased by Brock Dahtler, Doc's Brangus, Monto, for $6000. Mr Dahtler also picked up a Bimbadeen Memphis semen package.
The top-priced pen of commercial heifers was snapped up by Scott McKinnon to average $1850.
Vendors Mark and Amanda Salisbury said it was their best on-property sale yet.
"We're really pleased considering it's been tough weather-wise here, with a fourth year of below average rainfall," Mrs Salisbury said.
"We had a pretty good line of bulls. We brought Renouf out first because he really set the bar for the day."
Mrs Salisbury said the family were also celebrating three milestones at the sale.
"It's been 65 years since dad (Bruce Burnham) bought his first Brangus animal, it's the 60-year anniversary of the Australian Brangus Cattle Association of which dad was a founding member, and it's 15 years since we returned to the Burnett and joined Bimbadeen officially."
Gary Taylor said he travelled to the sale for one purpose: to buy Renouf.
"I came up here to buy him. I did my homework - all the videos, catalogue, and supplementary data gave me all the information I required," Mr Taylor said.
"He's an excellent structured bull, has a good temperament, and I really do like his strong sized head.
"I bought a bull here three years ago - Bimbadeen Maverick. I'm selling four bulls by him through the Rockhampton Brangus sale this year, and hopefully in three years time I'll be selling bulls by Bimbadeen Renouf."
