Are you having Ekka withdrawals? Missing your annual dose of strawberry sundaes?
For the second straight year the Royal Queensland Show has been forced into cancellation due to COVID-19 lockdowns in the south east of the state.
Not only is it a chance for producers to put their elite genetics and produce to the test, the Ekka also acts as a key social event on many bush calendars.
Queensland Country Life has dived into the archives and retrieved a gallery from the 2005 event, some 16 years ago.
It features legends of the show and some pint-sized paraders who are old enough to have children of their own.
