Another Ekka state final has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in Brisbane.
Organisers of the Marsh Queensland Rural Ambassador Awards State Final Program, hosted by Queensland Ag Shows, announced on social media on Sunday night that they had made the decision to reschedule the event.
The program was due to commence at 2pm on Wednesday, two hours before the lockdown may be lifted.
"The decision to postpone was not one that was made lightly but Queensland Ag Show's first priority is the safety of our competitors and volunteers," a statement said.
"The Marsh Queensland Rural Ambassador Awards Committee with the support of Queensland Ag Shows, intends to run a State Final Program at a later date this year, to ensure that the 2021 state finalists receive a fantastic state finals experience."
On Sunday afternoon the RNA announced that Queensland Health had again asked them to put preparations on hold for 24 hours.
