Volume vendors Greg and Shirley Callander, Colston Park, Sarina, offered 270 high quality Charbray steers at Biggenden.
Mr Callander said he was attracted to Biggenden as a selling centre as it also attracted competition from NSW.
"These new Biggenden Saleyards are a terrific facility," Mr Callander said.
"They certainly attract the cattle and the buyers."
The Callanders run about 6000 Charbray on their 22,250ha range property Colston Park. They are also in the process of putting their irrigated cane operation on 1600ha coastal block, Ocean View, under improved pasture.
Neil White, Gin Gin, was also celebrating, receiving 614.2c for a return of $1325 on his 216kg Limousin steers.
"These prices are giving us plenty of reasons to smile," Mr White said. "Let's hope they continue."
MLA's benchmark Eastern Young Cattle Indicator eased slightly after hitting a record 1003.5c/kg dressed on July 26.
