There were 274 head yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday. The market continues to go to new levels, with all descriptions selling to very high rates.

Lance Blatchford, Elimbah, sold Brangus/Santa cows and calves for $2380 and heifers for $1800. Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold a Brangus bull for $2500. Andrew Rowbottom, Beerwah, sold light Droughtmaster feeders, with steers making $1635 and heifers for $1430.

Alberton Investments, Bald Hills, sold a line of Santa steers for $2080 and Droughtmaster cross cows for $1980 and $1730. Barrie Dunning, Kilcoy, sold Santa cows for $1750 and a line of Santa light feeder steers for $1800. David McCowan, Kilcoy, sold eight-month-old Charbray weaners, with steers making $1495 and heifers $1190 and $1160.

Vern and Kim Duncan, Mt Mee, sold Angus cows and calves for $2325 and Droughtmaster cows for $1490 and $1400. Clinton Thompson, Beerburrum, sold a pen of Murray Grey cows and calves for $2375. Darryl Brown, Stoney Creek, sold a line of Droughtmaster feed on steers for $1680. Doug McDowell, Neurum, sold Droughtmaster steers for $1610.

Cody Hennessy, Moorina, sold a line of Charbray heifer calves for $1020. Darren Wilks, Woodford, sold eight to 10-month-old Charbray male calves for $1500. Des McCallum, Nanango, sold five to six-month-old Charbray steer calves for $1210.

Trent Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold eight to 10-month-old Droughtmaster steers for $1440. Les Little, Harlin, sold eight to 10-month-old Charolais steers for $1550 and $1300. Little Family, Harlin, sold Brangus steers for $1380. Ellen Tones, Kilcoy, sold a pen of Droughtmaster steer calves for $1360.
