CHRIS and Sharyn Holmes, Terrance Vale, Theodore, has claimed top honours at the 2021 Callide Dawson Beef Carcase Competition in Biloela on Friday night.
The Holmes exhibited the grand champion carcase and were named the most successful exhibitor with their Santa/Angus-cross cattle.
The prestigious competition now in it's 33rd year, involved 269 grass fed and 310 grain fed entries drawn from the Callide and Dawson regions.
Other winners included:
Champion Grassfed Steer Carcase presented to Rowanlea Cattle Company, Calliope and reserve champion Nobbs Grazing.
Champion Grassfed Heifer Carcase awarded to Mk Cattle and reserve champion Ross McCamley and family.
Champion Grainfed Trade Steer was awarded to Tom and Joy Surawski, Croftby and reserve champion David and Lyn Anderson.
Champion Grainfed Trade Heifer was awarded to Chris and Sharyn Holmes, Terrance Vale, Theodore, and reserve champion Maynard family, 5 Star Senepols, Jambin.

In the livestock assessment category, Tania Sainsbury, Tanic Charolais, Moura, made a clean sweep of the adult live assessment section, placing first, second and third.
Meanwhile, 15-year-old Fraser Bradshaw, Fairhaven, Banana, took out the junior live assessment for the third time.
In the charity auction, beef producers raised an impressive $9350 for the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service.
