It was a massive feast of rugby last weekend across the Darling Downs!
The highlight being, the Super Round of the Black Isuzu Emilee Cherry Cup Women's 7s.
The namesake of this competition announced her sudden retirement late last week, due to recurring injuries.
It was a heartbreaking decision, considering the Tokyo Olympics are less than two months away.
Emilee's achievements in rugby, are nothing short of astounding: hailing from Roma, playing with the Toowoomba Bears, World Seven's Player of the Year in 2014, and joined fellow local, Gemma Ethridge, as Gold Medalists at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Round 4 of the Emilee Cherry Cup saw all nine teams battle it out at the Fish Tank, Condamine.
In the Grand Final rematch of 2020, USQ Saints once again prevailed over the St George Filly Frillies 26-10.
Regardless, a fantastic effort from St George, given the loss of a few key players during the off season.
In a top of the table clash, Roma 1 played the Dalby Wheatchix, with Roma 1 prevailing 19-7.
The ladder after four rounds of the Emilee Cherry Cup has the Roma Echidnas (1) atop the ladder, four competition points clear of the Dalby Wheatchix in second place.
Third, USQ Saints. Fourth, St George Filly Frillies, and with fifth place: Toowoomba Bears.
Round 8 of the Wagner's Risdon Cup was held last Saturday. In the match of the round, Gatton Black Pigs hosted the Toowoomba Rangers at Hugh Courtney Oval.

At the Fish Tank, the Condamine Cods hosted the USQ Saints.
USQ showed a lot of defensive grit in the first half, however, tired in the second half with the Cods winning 39-0.
Condamine Cods, with this victory, have leapt up to third position on the Wagner's Risdon Cup ladder.
Johan Lubbe, Condamine Cods, collecting three Mal Eiby medal points.
The Nutrien Ag Solutions, Men's B-Grade, is ramping up with Dalby atop the ladder, followed by last year's grand finalists - Warwick Water Rats and the St George Frillnecks.
