NEXT generation industry leaders battled it out at the Beef Australia's CQ CRT Stores Next Gen Farmers' Challenge event on Wednesday evening, showcasing agricultural and farming skills of youth in the beef industry.
Working in teams, the challenge promoted farming skills and techniques as groups competed to take home the prestigious title of the winning team.
The action-thrilled competition started in 2018, giving an opportunity for future industry leaders to promote further youth involvement in the beef industry.
Overall, Trent Davison, Dalby, Rebecca Clapperton, Townsville and Jane Weir from Charters Towers came out on top as the winning group.
The winning group scored $300 in prize money, sponsored by Springsure Rural.
Event committee coordinator Georgia Dale said the competition was a "great success" with six teams and 18 competitors participating in the CQ CRT Stores challenge for 2021.
"The Next Gen committee have enjoyed putting together the course, which has seen a wonderful group of people come together in both the organisers and the participants," Ms Dale said.
