A new mobile phone app has been launched in an effort to better connect woolgrowers with the wool industry.
The app, launched by Australian Wool Innovation, is named the 'AWI Grower App' and will allow users to customise and prioritise the information they receive from AWI.
Popular updates including regular market reports, production forecasts, industry news, podcasts plus research will be delivered quickly and easily at the forefront of the app.
AWI Chief Executive Stuart McCullough said the app will allow for a better digital experience for woolgrowers.
"Almost half of all visits to wool.com are made on a mobile phone," Mr McCullough said.
"This is another way AWI is making it easier for growers to get the most useful and up to date information from us. Growers can choose what information to receive and what to view offline."
Features of the app includes push notifications and geo-based content capabilities are currently being developed.
"No matter where they are growers will get the most relevant local information about upcoming events or conditions," Mr McCullough said.
"Our sole purpose is to deliver better outcomes for Australian woolgrowers and the app will be right there on their phone home page and wherever they are they can look up information right away, rather than having to go to a computer or search through bookmarks".
AWI Grower app is available now for all iPhones and android phones.
