SOME of the best prime cattle in Australia will be on show at the Nutrien Livestock Commercial Cattle Competition to be held at CQLX Gracemere.
Competition committee chairman Mark Howard said it provided producers with a unique opportunity to benchmark their cattle against the best in the country.
"It's also a great opportunity to gather feedback from experienced judges and identify areas where they can continue to improve to ensure our industry remains productive and profitable," Mr Howard said.
More than 910 grain-fed and 780 grass-fed cattle are set to be judged.
Judging of the commercial competition starts at 9am on Sunday, May 2, with the Young Commercial Judges Competition running from 1-4pm.
The official opening of the sale and announcement of champions kicks off at 8am on Monday, May 3. Then the real action begins with the sale of champions and feature sale from 8.30am.
