An outstanding yarding of feeder and backgrounding steers sold to fierce competition. Quality lines of joined Charbray and Droughtmaster heifers created strong buyer interest. Weaner steers and heifers sold to rates above vendors' expectations.
The O'Neill family, Mt Oweenee Station, presented an excellent draft of number 9 Charbray and Droughtmaster steers, selling to a top of $1910. Graham Isbell, Coulson, sold Charbray steers 18 months for $1760. Limousin cross steers 15 months account Steve Moriarty, Canungra, sold for $1630.
Jamie Tully, Cryna, sold Senepol steers 15 months for $1500. Simmental cross weaner steers account Brian and Craig Bambling, Mulgowie, sold for $1500. Number 0 Droughtmaster steers account the O'Neill family sold for $1470. Leanne Stewart, Fernvale, sold Angus cross steers 14 months for $1450.
