There were smiles all round as a crowd of around 2000 flocked into Bassett Park on Saturday to enjoy one of Roma's favourite race meetings of the year.

It was a good feeling for the committee after their one meeting of the year had to be cancelled last March.

As well as a black tie ball on Friday night, patrons were able to enjoy bookies on site, plenty of cold drinks and food selections, plus the ever-popular fashions, and a live band both days.
