Morven is preparing for a busy tourist season, with the fit out of the town's new visitor information centre set to be complete by May.
Morven Progress Association secretary Louise Winten said the building was completed early last year and the fit out would be completed in coming months, allowing for an April or May opening.
"There will be interactive displays and we're filming various locals in the area who will be talking about the olden days of Morven and our heritage," she said.
"We've been surprised in January and February how many people have been coming through when it would normally be quiet so we expect a good tourist season."
"There will be Will Roberts talking about the Merino industry, cattle producers talking about the local cattle industry and there will also be a national park focus because we've got the Chesterton Range National Park and Tregole National Park."
Ms Winten said Morven was thriving, with other recent developments including the Sadleir's Waterhole pub and the multi-million dollar rail freight hub.
"The pub's going really well and the Pick A Box motel is doing really well too," she said.
"The grocery store is also great... for four and a half years Morven didn't have a pub and for two and a half years it didn't have a store.
"It's been local families that have started them up again and breathed life into the town.
"There have been so many people saying Morven looks like it's really on the move."
Other improvements for Morven in 2021 include new lighting at the recreation grounds, upgrades to the Morven Community Hall including a new commercial kitchen and upgrades to the cenotaph in time for Anzac Day.
