Burnett Livestock & Realty's first sale for 2021 at Biggenden on Thursday January 7 saw a yarding of 292 head. Cattle were drawn from Mulgildie, Gin Gin, Mt Perry, Proston, Coolabine, Mundubbera, Gayndah, Maroochydore, Kalpower, Bucca, Glastonbury and all local areas. Recent rain around the region put a spring in the buyers' step with the market being mostly stronger.
Droughtmaster cows and calves from Musket Flat sold for $2425/unit. Santa Gertrudis cross cows and calves from Mt Perry sold for $1940/unit. Brangus cows and calves from Brooweena sold for $1900/unit.
