Top of the store steers at Mareeba weighing 208kg sold for 396.2c/kg on a/c Gargan Produce.
Mareeba combined agents penned a total of 1059 head at this week's prime and special store cattle sale, a decrease of 401 head on the previous week.
Two local processors were present along with two traders and a large gallery of local buyers.
The yarding consisted of 257 steers averaging 340c selling to a top of 396.2c, 325 bulls averaging 248.3c selling to a top of 396.2c, 93 cows averaging 221.1c selling to a top of 310.2c, 126 heifers averaging 312.7c selling to a top of 388.2c, 89 yearling heifers averaging 361.3c selling to a top of 374.2c and 156 yearling steers averaging 377.9c selling to a top of 396.2c.
