There was a reduction in numbers to 909 head at Warwick on Tuesday.
The usual panel of export processors was present and operating. The regular feed and trade buyers, along with local and interstate restockers were also present and operating on all restocker lines.
Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market lost up to 15c/kg, mainly due to the lesser quality on offer. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market received only quality related price changes.
Light weight yearling steers and heifers sold to increase demand from restockers. Only a handful of grown steers penned, and sold to prices similar to last week. Medium and heavy weight cows were back by 2c/kg.
Light weight yearling steers to restockers sold to a top of 620.2c to average 583c. Yearling steers in the 200-280kg range sold to 635c to average 504c. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market sold to 447c to average 424c.
Light weight yearling heifers returning to the paddock sold to 538.2c to average 504c. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market sold to 411c to average 400c. A small sample of heavy grown steers and bullocks made to 347c.
Medium weight cows sold to processors at a top of 289c to average 280c, and to restockers for 296c. Heavy weight cows to processors sold to 291c to average 288c. Heavy bulls made 312c.
