Brahman breeders and buyers from across the country travelled to the Central Queensland Livestock Exchange, Gracemere, for one of the biggest bull sales in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale kicked off on Monday, selling 267 grey Brahman bulls.
A record-breaking top price of $210,000 was reached as Steve and Theresa Taylor, Clukan Brahmans, Jambin, sold Clukan Boabab 365/8 (IVF) (PS) to brothers Gavin Scott, Rosetta, Collinsville, and Owen Scott, Ruan, Clermont.
Day one saw a 97 per cent clearance rate to average $13,354.
The remaining grey Brahmans will be sold on Tuesday morning, before the reds take to the ring in the afternoon and continue on Wednesday.
