CLASSIFIED and purebred bulls topped at $19,000 on the way to setting a $9685 average and in the process, attaining a complete clearance at yesterday's annual Greenup Eidsvold Station Santa Gertrudis Sale, Eidsvold.
Conducted by Rick and Alice Greenup, the annual fixture grossed $968,500 and saw a supporter's base drawn from across Queensland, the Northern Territory and online keep the sale at consistent tempo from start to finish.
The first of the $19,000 sale toppers was the 19-month-old, 756kg, Greenup Lancelot Q196 (PP) selling to Andrew and Kate Chapman, Rowanlea Stud, Calliope.
The son of Greenup Lancelot L86 (P), had an eye muscle area of 130 square centimetres and was purchased via the online carrier, AuctionsPlus.
Also making $19,000 was the 20-month-old, 764kg, purebred entry, Eidsvold Station Mombassa Q154, sired by Greenup Fitzy M58, selling to Ian Mitchelmore, Fort Cooper, Nebo.
Next best at sums of $18,000 each were Greenup Noble Q206 (P) selling to the Greenup family, Rosevale Stud, Jandowae and Eidsvold Station Jackpot Q252 (PP) going to locally based operation, Curra Park Cattle.
