The market was firm at Woodford on Monday.

There were 329 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. The market remained firm, with all types in demand.

Tandarra Partners, Sandy Creek, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1590, cows and calves for $1550 and Murray Grey heifers for $915. Rodney Armstrong, Upper Caboolture, sold Santa cows for $1300. Trevor Carbery, Elaman Creek, sold a line of milk-tooth South Devon steers for $1300.

Murray Johnston, Royston, sold Droughtmaster cows for $1400 and six to seven-month-old weaners, with steers making $800 and heifers $705. Lee and Jan Maroske, Mt Mee, sold a Santa bull for $2000. Michael Gough, Samsonvale, sold the top Brahman cow and calf for $1780.

Pyman Pastoral, Peachester, sold a line of Droughtmaster heifers for $1095 and six-month-old steers for $740. Nathan Heilig, Beerburrum, sold Charbray heifers for $990. Ned Radtke, Redland Bay, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $980. Kerry McKay, King Scrub, sold a line of Charbray steers for $1100.

Terry O'Neill, Bracalba, sold a line of 18 to 20-month-old Charbray steers for $1355 and four-month-old Brahman steers for $605. Garry Brown, Stony Creek, sold six-month-old Charbray calves, with steers making $880 and heifers $785. Darcy Pratten, Kilcoy, sold mixed sex Angus cross vealers, five months, for $725.

J and E Pratten, Kilcoy, sold Angus cross vealers for $805. Christensen family, Linville, sold seven to eight-month-old Santa calves, with males making $825 and heifers $915. Ian Aitken, Neurum, sold Santa cross weaner steers for $870. Glen Marshall, Kilcoy, sold Droughtmaster steers, seven to eight months, for $880.
