Two rural marketing experts have launched a 30 day challenge starting in early August for businesses and organisations in rural and regional Australia to master social media and marketing activities.
Jenn Donovan, based on the NSW-Victoria border, is a social media and marketing professional who supports regional and rural organisations to leverage digital mediums to attract and engage their target audiences.
Starting August 3 and running until September 3, Jenn, alongside public relations professional and content creator Lyndsey Douglas, will point out the pitfalls, simplify the algorithms, motivate the messengers and, importantly, inspire action with participants.
"Some 90 percent of small businesses are on Facebook, and nearly 30 percent are also on Instagram. Some also operate on LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter and Pinterest, but many express that they feel a bit lost knowing what to post, and when, and how to make the most of the mediums," Ms Donovan said.
"We are going to change all that in 30 days.
"We will make sure country business owners and rural organisations feel confident, creative and connected with social media and in their broader marketing activities.
"No matter their starting point, we will be able to provide tactics, tips and tricks to dramatically improve their marketing."

Before Christmas, Jenn wanted to see more rural businesses succeed during a long drought, so she launched Buy from a Bush Business. Today, over a 267,000 Australians use that Facebook group.
Lyndsey Douglas, a trained journalist and writer, will support the challenge participants in better telling their story, making content that belongs on social media and driving more engagement, sales and new business.
The challenge comes with daily tasks and weekly lessons, hosted in the Facebook group, and costs $97.
The 30 day challenge is for people who look after a social media presence for an organisation, regional council, small business, show society, event or initiative in a small town.
