After a wet weekend there was a smaller yarding of 145 head on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale.
Good widespread rain in the local and surrounding areas saw most places getting 50mm or better.
Vendors who could get cattle into the sale were rewarded with a strong market.
W and C Idle, Mt Mee, sold a Brangus bull for $1900. Vern and Kim Duncan, Mt Mee, sold a line of 15-month-old Charbray steers for $1295 and Hereford and Angus vealers for $875.
David Rathie, Mt Mee, sold a line of Droughtmaster steers for $1195 and weaner steers for $930. Nathan Heileg, Beerburrum, sold Brahman cross heifers for $1000. Greg Nunn, Kilcoy, sold Angus steers, seven months, for $900.
Alan Fredriksen, Kilcoy, sold eight-month-old Angus steers for $920. Jeffrey Briggs, Stony Creek, sold Angus yearling steers for $1195. Gordon Engle, Maleny, sold milk tooth Droughtmaster steers for $1140.
Baker & Haseler Estates, Dayboro, sold a pen of Charolais cross store cows for $1180. Leanne Paulis, Mt Delaney, sold Charbray store cows for $1040. Charles Lindsey, Booroobin, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1590.
