Light falls of rain across parts of the usual supply area reduced the number of stock down to 105 head at the Toowoomba cattle sale.
Overall quality was mixed, and despite the short supply a fair panel of buyers was present and operating. Prices generally experienced some improvement for the standard available.
Light weight yearling steers to restockers made to 424.2c/kg to average 406c, and secondary lines averaged 296c. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged 400c and made to 406.2c.
Light weight yearling heifers to restockers or background averaged 384c. Yearling heifers to feed made to 386c to average 373c. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 257c, and a couple of heavy cows made to 274.2c. Heavy bulls made to 284.2c
