Cows and calves had prices ranging from $1680 to $3310, to average $2489. A line of Santa Gertrudis station mated cows and calves from Longreach sold for $2560.
PTIC cows ranged from $1510 to $2640, to average $2013. A standout line of Hereford PTIC breeders from Condamine made $2125. These girls are PTIC to Angus and Simmental bulls and are heading 1000km south to the Blue Mountains in NSW.
Steers 280-330kg sold from 359c/kg to 498c to average 427c. The top line of 10 to 11-month-old Angus steers was listed from CN and JS McClymont Pty Ltd, Goondiwindi.
Heifers 200-280kg sold from 349c to 521c to average 437c. From Milmerran, a line of eight to 10-month-old Angus weaner heifers weighing 255kg returned 458c and are heading to Armidale, NSW.
Heifers 330-400kg sold from 342c to 471c to average 401c. A line of Santa Gertrudis heifers from Glenmorgan, weighing 344kg returned 417c and are heading to Central West NSW.
Steers under 200kg sold from 318c to 634c to average 533c. From Rolleston, a line of seven to 10-month-old Santa Gertrudis weaned steers weighing 152kg returned 606c.
Steers 280-330kg sold from 359c to 498c to average 427c. A standout line of Angus steers from Goondiwindi weighing 281kg returned 497c and are heading to central western NSW.
SHEEP
Queensland sheep numbers dropped significantlt last week, offering 6925 head fewer than the previous week to total 5534 head. Southern Queensland region purchased 3218 head.
Wether lambs sold from $99 to $170, averaging $130k. From Morvern, a line of Jul/Aug '19 drop woolgrower wether lambs weighing 43kg returned $125.
The store lamb offerings sold between 276c and 673c, averaging 436c. A line of Sep/Oct '19 drop Merino/White Suffolk mixed sex suckers weighing 40kg from St George returned $160 or 392c.
