The Ray White Rural Dalby-based agency re-opened its doors this week with a new principal at the helm of the popular livestock, property and real estate business.

David Felsch, livestock manager and auctioneer of the former business Ray White Eastern Rural before it was bought by Elders, has taken over the franchise.

Mr Felsch is joined by his wife Amy as business manager, and well known livestock administrator Amy Moloney who too, was part of the previous business.

Other local faces to join the team include former local Grant Daniel and Long livestock auctioneer and salesman Tim O'Dwyer, while Lara Turner will be the face of the residential real estate business.

Ray White Rural kicked off with a yarding of 550 cattle at the Dalby sale on Wednesday, mainly drawn from local vendors.

It has also been retained as a sale agent at the Sandon Glenoch Angus stud bull sale, as well as the sole agents of the country's premier Dalby Australian Stockhorse Sale set for December.

Mr Felsch said when the opportunity arose to take over the business, it was "one that could not be missed".

"We are basically starting from scratch with the help from Bruce Birch and the Ray White Rural Corporate team who have played a big part in helping me," he said.

"The support we have received since opening has been very overwhelming."

Mr Felsch has enjoyed a long relationship with the Ray White Rural Network and was a part-owner of a franchise from 2010 to 2014 at Katherine, in the Northern Territory.

He joined the Eastern Rural Ray White franchise in 2018.

"We sold my share and moved to Dalby, as this is where my wife Amy is from and we wanted to rear our young family here," he said.

"Our plan is as our business grows, so will our staff."

Ray White Rural Dalby is located in new premises at 166 Drayton Street, telephone (07) 4573 7868, or David's mobile 0488 993 931, or email rural.dalby.qld@raywhite.com.
