The last Toowoomba sale before the end of the financial year attracted only 192 head of mixed quality cattle.
Export buyer attendance was good and all were operating along with the usual feed and trade buyers plus restockers. All classes of young cattle sold to strong demand for the quality penned.
A small selection of heavy grown steers and bullocks also experienced good support from export processors. The very small selection of cows sold to a dearer trend.
Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock made to 450.2c to average 439c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 401c and made to 426.2c/kg.
Light weight yearling heifers to restockers or background made to 404.2c to average 397c/kg. Yearling heifers to feed for the domestic market averaged 384c and made to 396.2c/kg.
A few pens of bullocks made to 370.2c to average 369c/kg. Medium weight 2 score cows averaged 259c, and the 3 scores averaged 268c and made to 276c/kg. A couple of good heavy cows made to 293.2c/kg.
