The Casino Beef Week committee have made the decision to cancel the 2020 event.
Due to coronavirus restrictions on public events the festival had originally been postponed from May until possibly early September.
However, the decision was made on Thursday morning to cancel the 2020 event all together.
The committee will now work towards planning next year's event from May 22 to June 1.
It is just the second time in Beef Week's 38 year history that the event has been cancelled.
With a fierce rival between the beef city of Rockhampton in Queensland, Casino claims to be the beef capital of Australia and celebrates the industry across an 11 day festival featuring more than 100 events including cattle competitions, tours and local product showcases.
