Throughout the floodplain country are areas of sandhill with ironwood, supple jack, wilga and mulga. The remainder of the country is red loamy to gravely stony mulga box country.

The Moody family has been the custodian of Abbadoah for the past 60 years. The estimated carrying capacity is 8000 dry sheep equivalents.

Abbadoah is exceptionally well watered by three flowing bores.

Gilruth Plains is watered by a bore drain system through every paddock from the flowing artesian bore. There are also dams located in four of the paddocks.

Abbadoah has an architecturally designed five bedroom, three bathroom timber homestead.
