The supply of stock reduced by 85 head to 561 at Warwick on Tuesday.
Overall quality was mixed with a few well presented local trade classes included in the line-up. The usual panel of buyers was present, however not all were operating.
Young cattle could not maintain the levels of the previous sale. However yearling steers and heifers suited to the local trade market received strong support from local butchers.
Cows experienced little change in price for the quality penned. Calves returned to the paddock at a top of 442c to average 318c/kg. Light weight yearling steers sold to restockers at an average of 355c with sales to 398c/kg.
Yearling steers in the 280-330kg range to feed made to 380c to average 354c/kg. Medium weight yearling steers to feed averaged 367c and also made to 380c, with a small sample to the trade reaching 390c/kg.
Heavy weight yearling steers to the local trade market made to 411.2c to average 391c/kg.
Light weight yearling heifers averaged 310c and made to 340c/kg. Yearling heifers in the 280- 330kg range to feed averaged 334c with the occasional sale to 360c/kg.
Medium weight yearling heifers to the trade made to 383c to average 365c/kg. Grown heifers to processors made to 331c to average 271c, and a few heavy weights made to 314c/kg.
Medium weight cows averaged 231c and made to 266c, and heavy cows made to 274.2c to average 259c/kg. Heavy bulls made to an isolated 348.2c/kg.
