Amazone will launch a new front-mounted seed and fertiliser hopper for its line of seed drills early next year.
Promising to significantly boost operating production, the FTender hopper will be available in both 2200 and 1600 litre capacities.
Claas Harvest Centre head of product Paul Birbeck said the hopper used an electrically-driven metering unit to transfer seed or fertiliser to the drill.
"The metering unit is easy to reach, enabling the operator to quickly change the metering rollers to suit different seeds or fertilisers," he said.
"The steep walls ensure optimal flow of seed or fertiliser, while the emptying device rapidly and completely empties any residual seed or fertiliser.
"Alternatively the electric metering system can be set to 'empty', whereby any remaining seed or fertiliser is cleared via the metering system."
Mr Birbeck said any ISOBUS terminal could be used to control seed and fertiliser application rates from the cabin, while calibration could be easily tested using a machine mounted button in conjunction with the mySeeder app or TwinTerminal controller.
"The FTender can be easily mounted or uncoupled from the tractor," he said.
"A quick-release connector is available for the hose packages and the ISOBUS cable also has a connection socket.
"The front tank is equipped with support legs for safe storage, while the optional parking rollers allow the unit to be easily moved in the shed."
