Rockhampton Regional Council has launched a one-stop hub for information related to the coronavirus pandemic.
Chief executive officer Evan Pardon said the hub would "pop-up" when visitors contacted the RRC's website and would include the latest announcements, a list of affected council facilities as well as details on services such as Rose's Angels.
"One of the other things on this page is a local businesses directory where traders can put up their details on what services they're offering at the moment whether that's by home delivery, takeaways or remote drop offs," Mr Pardon said.
"We've seen so much goodwill in the region at the moment through the media and on Facebook in promoting these businesses and this directory will help complement that work by having a centralised listing.
"We'll then be promoting that list on our Council Facebook Page regularly so it's a great way for local businesses to get the message out and for people to support them."
Economic Development Manager Jesse Gillard said with the restrictions on the business community, it was more important than ever for people to find ways to shop locally.
"Council is going to be running a number of other initiatives through Advance Rockhampton to support the business community," Mr Gillard said.
Residents are encouraged to follow Council's Facebook Page to keep up to date with the latest announcements as well as checking in on the Coronavirus Hub on Council's webpage.
