All buyers were operating to strong rates at Woodford on Monday.

There were 486 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale. With access restricted to buyers only, competition remained strong, with all buyers operating to strong rates.

J and K Farmstock, Kilcoy, sold Charolais cross cows for $1680. Michael Sturm, Woodford, sold Droughtmaster heifers for $1085. Nigel Rickman, Ningi, sold Brahman cows for $1445 and Santa weaner steers for $990.

Robert Enchelmaier, Laceys Creek, sold Droughtmaster cows and calves for $1550. Peter Klein, Cedarton, sold a line of Brangus steers, 20 months, for $1450. Raynbird Pastoral, Laceys Creek, sold Droughtmaster steers, 20-22 months, for $1400 and steers 10-12 months, for $915.

The Sullivan family, Maleny, sold milk-tooth Charbray heifers for $1160 and Droughtmaster steers for $1155. Friedrich family, Toogoolawah, sold a line of medium Murray Grey cows for $1160.

Ian Kent, Samsonvale, sold a Droughtmaster bull for $1900 and Charbray cows for $1290. James Page, Woodford, sold Droughtmaster males, 18-20 months, for $1390. Ken Klein, Cedarton, sold mixed cows for $1340. Chris Watson, Wamuran, sold Droughtmaster and Charolais weaner steers for $850.

Troy Lindsey, Caboolture, sold Brahman steers for $1170. Graham Taylor, Nanango, sold Droughtmaster yearling steers for $1100. Leonard Maroske, Mt Mee, sold Santa yearling steers for $1170.

Russell Lindsey, Bracalba, sold Murray Grey cross vealer heifers for $780. ALB Pastoral, Woolmar, sold quality five-month-old Charbray calves, with steers making $775 and heifers $600. Glenys Hanton, Kilcoy, sold six-month-old Charolais cross steers for $800.
