There was a yarding of 2200 head at Toogoolawah on Friday, where the store market held firm for heavy feeders.

Young light steers were in great demand and the 1000 quality heifers met excellent competition.

Bellmere Lodge sold Charbray 2-tooth steers at $1810. Queensland Cattle and Investments had Charbray steers 20 months at $1340. Jim Davies, Kilcoy, sold 20 months Droughtmaster steers at $1220.

Duncan and Fiona Williamson sold Charolais cross steers 18 months at $1280. Trevor Kelloway's Brangus steers 20 months sold at $1300. Don and Karen Sullivan sold 18 months Angus cross steers at $1200.

Col Draper sold Simmental cross steers 20 months at $1380. Colinton Pastoral Co. sold a top line of Charbray steers at $1260, $1140 and $1100. Goscomb Family Trust, Kandanga, sold excellent quality Simbrah steer calves at $1110 and Limousin cross at $1060.

Kerry Head sold Charolais steer calves at $1070 and $1020. Glenn and Carol Beanland sold their Charolais steer calves at $1090. TIY Pty Ltd, Woolooga, sold 100 top quality Charbray steers 18 months (three pens) at $1460, $1300 and $1020.

Mike Baker sold two decks of Angus and Droughtmaster steers 10 months from his Eidsvold property at $1000, $980 and $930. Tom and Marie Copley sold Brahman cross steers 20 months at $1060 and $970. Warren and Wendy Hatfield had quality Santa steer calves at $960.

Edwin Cooke and family sold two decks of light Santa steer calves at $990, $940 and $890. E and J Eames had Limousin cross steers 20 months at $1350. Kay Ward's Droughtmaster steer calves sold at $1000.

Mt. Moon Beef sold Droughtmaster Angus steer calves at $990. Angela Pease had Limousin cross steer calves at $790.

Large lines of quality heifers came to hand and met with strong demand.

John and Sherry Westaway sold Charbray heifers 18 months at $1480 and $1400. David Hession had Charbray feeder heifers at $1320. University of Qld, Gatton College sold Droughtmaster heifers 16 months at $1220.

John and Sharon Cruickshank sold quality Santa heifers 18 months at $1450 to average $1340 for three decks. Ray and Dianne Bruxner sold Brahman cross heifers 16 months for $1230 as quality future breeders.

Inverstanley Pastoral Co. sold Charolais cross heifers 20 months at $1410, $1420 and $1350. Alex Walsh had Charbray heifers 16 months at $1210, $1200 and $1080.

Belmere Lodge sold Charolais cross heifers 18 months at $1160. Robbie and Marie Martin had Charolais cross heifers 18 months at $1200 and $1020 and Droughtmaster at $1230.

Eskdale Cattle had three decks of Charolais cross heifers 16 months at $1190, $1160, $1040 and $1100. Lolworth Grazing Co. sold Brangus feeder heifers at $1320. Shane Hart sold Euro cross heifers 18 months at $1130.

TIY Pty Ltd had a quality line of Charbray heifers at $1190, $1040 and $990. Brown and Harrison of Woodford sold Charbray heifers 14 months at $920. Colinton Pastoral Co. sold Brangus heifers 12 months at $810, Santa cross at $780 and Brahman at $720.

Goscomb Family Trust sold quality Simbrah heifer calves at $860 and $870. Jenny Williams sold PTIC Droughtmaster heifers at $1370. Yabba Pastoral Co., Jimna, had Santa heifers 18 months at $1150.

Barnes Grazing Co. had Charolais cross cows and calves at $1620. Symbol D sold Charbray cows and calves at $1800, Brangus at $1630 and Droughtmaster cross at $1480.

Plainer and light cows and calves met less demand.
