Agents Boyd, O'Brien, Bartholomew yarded 587 head of cattle at Moreton on Tuesday.

The market remained firm for all export and heavy grain assisted trade. Suitable heavy feeders sold firm to slightly dearer, quality backgrounder and weaner steers/heifers sold to a very hot market selling way above vendors' expectations.

Angus cross vealer steers account Kanboo Stud, Kurwongbah, sold for 367.2c/kg weighing 152kg to return $559. D and M Heck, Fernvale, sold Droughtmaster vealer heifers for 350c weighing 170kg to return $595.

Santa yearling steers account A and F Macarthur & Sons, Kalbar, sold for 397.2c weighing 304 kg to return $1208. G Klibbe, Goomeri, sold Brangus cross yearling steers for 389.2c weighing 268kg to return $1046.
