There were 369 head sold on Monday at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale.

All descriptions were in high demand, with restockers, feedlots and processors all competing for a good quality yarding of cattle.

Sommer Brothers, Maleny, sold a pen of AIS steers for $1800 and cows for $1400. Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold a pen of Brangus cows for $1540.

Robert Martin, Commissioners Flat, sold a line of milk-tooth Charbray heifers for $1420 and 12-month-old heifers for $960. Jo Walker, Bellmere, sold Hereford heifers for $1040-$1100 and steers for $1000.

Len Kettleton, Beachmere, sold milk-tooth Droughtmaster steers for $1300-$1440. Collins Grazing, Anduramba, sold Brahman cows for $1200 and lines of Brahman cross heifers, eight to 10 months, for $820-$880.

Brett Leverett, Wamuran, sold 2-tooth Braford heifers for $1230. Dale Crocombe, Woodford, sold Charbray yearlings, with steers making $1140 and heifers $1100. Vivienne Bochow, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster cross vealers for $880-$930.

Josh Sippel, Caboolture, sold Droughtmaster vealer heifers for $800. Jilrift Pty Ltd, Thornton, sold Brahman cross calves, with steers making $775 and heifers $690-$700. Peter Simpson, Woodford, sold Droughtmaster yearlings, with steers making $1220 and heifers $1110.

Gordon Engle, Conondale, sold Droughtmaster steers for $1010 and heifers $900. Diane Chambers, Neurum, sold Simmental vealer calves, with steers making $820 and heifers $840. Total Island Time, Cedarton, sold eight-month-old Droughtmaster steers for $920. D Youles, Manumbar, sold a line of Brahman heifers for $995.
