A larger number of restocker buyers and onlookers packed the walkways at Toowoomba on Monday.

The supply of stock increased by 499 head to 563 at Toowoomba on Monday, and the overall quality was fair to good.

The usual panel of export buyers was present, however not all were operating. A larger number of restocker buyers and onlookers packed the walkways.

Light weight yearling steers returning to the paddock averaged over 30c/kg dearer. Light weight yearling heifers to feed, and restock, improved in price, and this trend flowed onto the medium and heavy weights to the trade. A small mixed quality lineup of cows sold to fair demand.

Light weight yearling steers sold to restockers at an average of 397c, with sales to 423.2c/kg. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market made to 415c to average 406c, and medium weights averaged 372c and made to 392c/kg. A handful of heavy weight yearling steers to feed made to 375c to average 372c/kg.

Light weight yearling heifers generally sold in the 340c/kg, range, with some selling to 360c/kg. Medium weight yearling heifers to the trade made to 365c to average 353c, and a couple of heavy weights also to the trade made to 388.2c/kg.

Light weight cows sold to restockers sold at 264.2c, and a few medium weight 2 scores sold to processors to average 239c, and some 3 scores made to 292c to average 279c/kg. A couple of good heavy cows made to 312.2c/kg.

Heavy bulls to processors made to 321.2c, and a few feeder bulls made to 348c/kg.
