A REUNION is being held in Toowoomba on March 6 to celebrate the venerable pastoral house Winchcombe Carson.
The company, which 40 years ago was takeover by Dalgety's, which itself eventually morphed Landmark before becoming the present day Nutrien Ag Solutions, was in operation for 90 years.
Winchcombe Carson's former Queensland manager Dick Hughes (0419 644 671) is hoping as many former staff members as possible will attend the event.
"We've contacted as many as possible but due to unknown locations it is becoming difficult," Mr Hughes said.
The reunion will be a celebration of a company that endured for 90 years.
Winchcombes, like other pastoral houses of the era, also provided a career launching pad for generations of young men who went on to become successful stock and station agents, or pursue careers in other rural sectors.
A NSW reunion held in Newcastle late last year was attended by more than 60 former staff.
Queensland's Winchcombe Carson will be held at the Toowoomba Golf Club, Middle Ridge, on March 6.
