THALLON cowboy Cameron Southern will be one of the favourites for the Xtreme Bulls event at Penrith on Saturday.
Southern is currently 20th in Australian Professional Rodeo Association standings but needs to be in the top-15 to qualify for the Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals in late October.
After the first four months of the new APRA season, Queensland pair Bailey Woodard and Michael Smith are at the top of the standings in the bull ride.
Tasmanian rider Kyle Maskielle is third and Victorian cowboy Will Purcell fourth.
Purcell was second in the aggregate at last year's national finals and Bailey Woodard fourth.
