Rain excitement north of Hughenden tempered by deficit in south

Heavy rain on Sunday brought an instant waterfall to creeks on Fairlight Station north of Hughenden. The water eventually runs into the Flinders River. Pictures - Courtney McArthur.

Up to 300mm of rain has been recorded in places north of Hughenden and Prairie in the last week, with isolated storm cells resulting in flash flooding in parts.
