A total yarding of 230 head of cattle were penned at Roma's prime sale on Thursday.

Steers over 550kg sold to 281c and averaged 281c, while steers 400- 550kg sold to 220c, averaging 220c.

Dakota Pastoral Co Pty Ltd, Hiddenvale, Roma, sold Brahman cross steers to 220c, reaching a top of $1204 to average $1204.

Heifers over 450kg made to 277c and averaged 273c. Cows over 500kg peaked at 273c and averaged 245c, while cows in the 400- 500kg class topped at 271c and averaged 256c. Cows 300-400kg sold to 262c and averaged 240c.

Russell Ian Mocker, Surprise, St George, sold Santa cows to 273c, reaching a top of $1618 to average $1618. W G Jackson, Maintop North, Injune, sold Angus cows to 265c, reaching a top of $1469 to average $1286.

Bulls over 600kg earned to 273c and averaged 244c. S and R White Family Trust, Mt Saltbush, Roma, sold Angus bulls to 258c, reaching a top of $1859 to average $1859.
