The Muttaburra Stock Show which was formerly known as the Landsborough Flock Ewe Show Society, will hold a sheep and wool junior judging school over two days, on April 8 and 9 at the Muttaburra Showgrounds.
The event will kick off on the evening of Tuesday April 7 with a meet and greet dinner.
The following day, Wednesday April 8, there will be a school for ages between eight and 25 years to learn about sheep and wool judging. It will conclude on Thursday, April 9 with a junior judging competition and presentations, closing with a lunch.
One of the committee organisers Bev Rea said there a plenty of initiatives like this within the beef industry but few in the sheep industry.
"There is a need for this school as we have a lot of young ones this year, and there is so much to learn about within the sheep and wool industry," she said
"We would appreciate it if you have family, friends, ringers and jillaroos who would like to attend to let us know."
There will be camping with amenities and food catering plus bush hospitality available.
